Les OAV Hunter x Hunter sont la suite de la série. Après avoir tué Uvogin, un membre de la brigade fantôme, Kurapica continu sa vengeance pour ce qu'ils ont fait subir à son peuple dans le passé. Pour cela, il établit un plan avec Gon, Kirua et Leorio mais Gon et Kirua se font capturer alors qu'ils les poursuivaient. Pendant ce temps, Hisoka coopère avec Kurapica car il désire se battre contre son boss à tout prix.
